More about me:
Hi. I am Sara.
I grew up in Western New York, always carrying with me a deep sense of creativity and curiosity. By day, I work as a medical imaging technologist—a role that sharpens how I see the world and influences the way I approach my art. By night (and heart), I am an artist, always seeking ways to make my work both a source of good and an authentic place to express myself.
I am drawn to mixed-media and collage, though I never want to be confined to a single discipline. Nostalgia, spirituality, and connection to the divine guide my choices of materials and imagery. Every element I use has intent—a story, a memory, a trace of something bigger. Vintage and antique finds often become the foundation of my pieces, and I see beauty in the forgotten, the discarded, even in what others might call garbage. Sorting through these materials isn’t just part of my process—it’s how I find calm.
My dream is to run or own a shop/gallery: a space where I can create, share my work, and give new life to the unique vintage treasures I discover. Inspired by my travels—especially the mysticism of Salem, MA, and the desert spirit of Southern New Mexico—I seek to recycle, repurpose, and reimagine, always finding new ways to honor the old.
I admire artists like Helen Frankenthaler and Robert Rauschenberg, whose influence reminds me to embrace experimentation and freedom. I get easily distracted, but I’ve learned to see that as part of my creative flow. And on a lighter note: give me anything lemon-flavored, and I’ll be happy.
